What types of payment do you accept?
A: : Torrid.com accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and ATM/debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo. You may also pay with a Torrid gift card, cashier’s check, money order, PayPal or store credit.
Please note: Torrid.com does not accept personal checks, cash or paper gift certificates as payment.

Why did my credit/debit card get charged twice for the same order?
A: Don’t worry! Your card was not charged twice. Your statement will read “pending authorization” for the amount of your purchase until your bank has verified that the funds are available. Once your payment is authorized, we will ship your order and you will see your final charge, not a duplicate charge. Torrid.com will charge you only for the items shipped.

How do I check the balance of my gift card?
A: To protect your information, you must call Torrid Customer Service to check your balance. Call 1.866.867.7431, Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., PST. Internationally, please phone +1.626.709.1188.

Can I use more than one gift card on my purchase?
A: Yes! To pay for an order with up to three Torrid gift cards, simply enter your gift card number(s) at checkout. To pay with more than three gift cards, phone a Torrid Personal Shopper at 1.866.867.7431. Internationally, please phone +1.626.709.1188.

Will I be charged shipping if I only purchase a gift card?
A: No. The Web site will show a shipping charge for all orders; however, if the order contains only gift cards, and is shipping to a U.S. address, the shipping fee will be removed once the order ships. All gift card orders going to a U.S. address are shipped via FedEx Ground/Home Delivery.

Can I use a Hot Topic gift card?
A: No. Hot Topic gift cards cannot be used to buy Torrid merchandise.

Do I have to pay tax on my purchase?
A: Yes. Sales tax is calculated according to the state and county tax laws where the order is being shipped. The tax shown online is only a quote and may differ slightly from the total charged, usually by no more than a few cents.

What is a verbal authorization and why do you need one for my order to ship?
A: A brief conversation with one of our representatives is sometimes necessary to verify credit card information. This is known as a verbal authorization and it protects cardholders from unauthorized purchases. How do I pay by cashier's check or money order?
A: It’s easy! Once you’ve decided on everything you want to purchase, call us at 1.866.867.7431 during business hours. We will provide you with an order number, total dollar amount and payment address. Internationally, please phone +1.626.709.1188.
Please note: We will fill your order and hold the package until we receive payment. Payment must be received within 10 business days or the order will be canceled.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND A CASHIER’S CHECK OR MONEY ORDER WITHOUT FIRST CALLING TO PLACE AN ORDER. We will not be able to process any orders that are not called in prior to receipt of a cashier's check or money order.

If I use a cashier's check or money order, when will my package be shipped?
A: Your package will be shipped upon receipt of your cashier’s check or money order. Please keep this in mind when selecting your shipping method. As with all orders, please allow 1-2 business days for order processing.

Q: How do I pay with PayPal on Torrid.com?
A: At checkout, you can select PayPal as a payment option. This will take you off of Torrid.com, but you will easily be able to return once you’ve completed the PayPal process.

Q: Can I split the payment for my order between PayPal and another form of payment?
A: Sorry, no. If you are using PayPal, you will not be able to use any other form of payment on that order.

Q: If I am using PayPal, can I still choose to have it shipped to a different address than my billing address?
A: You may choose a different shipping address for your order, however, the billing address on your PayPal account must match the billing address on your Torrid.com order. If you choose to use PayPal Express, your billing address will be imported automatically.

Q: Why isn’t my PayPal payment going through?
A: Check to see that the billing addresses for your Torrid.com order and your PayPal account match. If they do, check the rest of your PayPal account information for errors, including your current balance.

Q: Do I have to have a Torrid.com account to use PayPal as a payment?
A: No, you can use PayPal as a payment option without having an account. However, creating a Torrid.com account allows you to store your billing address, multiple shipping addresses, join our mailing list, check your order status and create a wish list that you can share with friends!
