Sure to cause a laugh attack: I have a 1-year-old niece and every time she sees my jewelry she says "Gia!" and shakes it or puts it on. That makes me laugh.
How you became a Torrid.com model: I was working at a Torrid store in the South Bay Galleria and Michael [the Torrid photographer] came in with his family. I'm very talkative, so I started talking to them and [Michael] said he needed some more girls for the website, especially African American girls. He asked me to come in to try out and now I'm here!
Most difficult moment in front of the camera: When they put the short skirts on me - and then Shelitha hikes them up. But I still do it!
Favorite moment in front of the camera: I love the camera! It's just fun and all. I love doing lifestyle where you get to really move and show who you are.
Advice for a girl who wants to be a plus size model: Come in and be open. Set your own priorities and attitude aside.
Why you love Torrid: I first saw Torrid when I was 19 and I said, "Oh, my God! A plus size store!" I wanted to work there right away and I loved working there. There was never a day when I didn't leave the store with a bag.
