WHERE I GO TO SCHOOL:
Smith College, Northampton, MA
MY EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Basketball, soccer, track, coaching sixth-grade basketball, photography, taking care of all my animals, jazz band, wind ensemble, playing saxophone, making people laugh.
WHY I LOVE FASHION:
To me, fashion is empowering. I control what I wear and how I wear it; that’s why I love it so much. I also love it because no matter what mood I’m in, there is something to wear to reflect how I feel. Fashion gives me confidence. Fashion tells a story. You can tell what someone is feeling, their mood, and their personality just by looking at what they’re wearing.
THE FASHION ICON I MOST IDENTIFY WITH IS:
Pharrell Williams, because we don’t really follow the trends and we are willing to take risks in what we wear.
IF I WERE AN ITEM OF CLOTHING OR ACCESSORY, WHAT WOULD I BE AND WHY?
I would be a graphic tee because I’m bold, to the point, and sometimes I can be quite hilarious.
WHY I LOVE TORRID:
Torrid gives curvy girls the confidence they deserve! I still remember the first pair of jeans I bought from Torrid. I wanted to wear them out of the store! That’s the kind of feeling that every woman should have, not just the skinny women. In a world where girls are pressured to be stick-thin, Torrid shows us plus-sized girls that we are beautiful, curves and all!
WHAT ELSE?
I still watch the show SpongeBob SquarePants, even though I’m a freshman in college. I’m the third of four girls!
