How did you become a Torrid.com model?
I was working as a nurse for the American Red Cross and we held a blood drive at the Hot Topic and Torrid Headquarters. I met the Torrid photographer, Michael, and he asked if I’d be interested in a test shoot. I said yes and the rest is history. LOL!

Most difficult moment in front of the camera:
My first time in front of the camera was by far the worst! I was so nervous! I had no idea how to pose or what I should do with my hands. After my first shoot, I spent tons of time in front of the mirror practicing how the other models on Torrid’s Web site were posing. After I got that down, I started to look at other Web sites and magazines to get more ideas.

Favorite moment in front of the camera:
I have so many! My most recent would be shooting the Young Hollywood look book. Any time I get to do lifestyle, it’s super-fun!

Advice for girls who want to be plus-size models:
Do your research. Modeling is so much more than just taking pictures. Look into what the company you want to model for is looking to use. Learn which agencies are in your area. Know your body. Feel comfortable in your body. Love your body!
