Torrid employee and Twilight fan Tiffany meets Robert Pattinson and tells all!

Bella Swan isn’t the only one who certainly loves Edward. After a mall signing event, featuring Robert Pattinson, the actor who plays Edward in the film, caused a near-riot, it’s safe to say Edward is the hottest vampire to hit the scene since Brad Pitt’s Louis.

Eternally young and handsome, Edward is smart, soft-spoken, and, oh, yeah, he sparkles in the sunlight. But what’s really setting everyone’s hearts afire is his romantic soul. It’s love at first smell when he meets Bella, and he battles bad vampires and his own inner demons to keep her safe. Who wouldn’t fall in love with a guy—er, vampire like him?

Just like Bella, thousands of fans have fallen in love, and they’ve made Twilight an international phenomenon. The series of books, written by Stephanie Meyer, is printed in more than 20 different languages. To date, it has sold over 17 million copies in 37 countries, and the film adaptation of the first book is opening worldwide in just a few days.

That Edward is the most popular character came as a surprise to Pattinson, according to Torrid’s very own Tiffany Yin, who was on hand to meet him at the signing event. She got to spend most of the day with him [don’t hate!], so we thought we’d ask her some important questions.

Was he totally dreamy?

Yes, he’s pretty hot. He’s very nice and down-to-earth, not snobby at all.

What was his best feature?

His eyes, but he has a great smile too.

What about the hair?

I like him more clean-cut, but he has to keep the hair while he does publicity for the film.

What about the crowd?

It was insane! Some tears, but, luckily, no one fainted. We had to remind the fans to breathe. Girls came bearing gifts too. One brought peach Snapple because Rob [that’s what he told her to call him] said in an interview he had that in his fridge. Another brought a heart pin and said she was giving him her heart.

How did he handle it?

He was very gracious but was a little nervous about it at first. He was really surprised that there were so many fans. It was taking a long time for him to try and sign their names on their posters, so they asked everyone to customize their own, but he would still sign their names if they asked. He also shook hands and accepted hugs as well. A girl even asked him, “Boxers or briefs?” and he just laughed.

So, boxers or briefs?

When he stood up to give a girl a hug, I noticed he was wearing boxers.

And that is a Torrid.com exclusive. Thanks, Tiffany!
